"i like too many things and get all confused and hung-up running from one falling star to another till i drop. this is the night, what it does to you. i had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion."
If Jack Sparrow wasn't a pirate living sometime in the 16th-century, he would be a part-time sales associate at India Trading, a company headquartered in London. Born John Edward Teague on a tour boat off the Florida Keys, son of that Edward Teague and Bonnie Sparrow, Jack would grow up for the first fourteen years with his mother in the bayous before being shipped off to grow up under his father's wavering eye in London. He would acquire a pilot's license at age 23, buy himself a seaplane (named the Black Pearl, natch), and disappear off into the wild blue yonder for a few months every year.
Until he got himself arrested. And met a law student named James Norrington. That's when Jack's life rolled itself over for a change in direction.
This is that story.
